why blogging now
Since LLMs became a real part of our lives, not only me but many others have been struggling to create without relying on AI. Planning, programming, even simple tasks: all of them rely on LLMs now. But as a reader, you already know that. Everybody is trying to find a way that can bring good old days without the suffer and pressure.
Especially in the recent months, I have found myself doing projects with zero knowledge, but with the hope of learning by doing. Obviously, I was planning with AI, writing code with AI, fix errors with AI and a lot of AI, AI, AI.
You know there can be a period of time between your executions on a project like you work one day and give break one day. On the working days, I was like what the fuck was I doing on the previous one? I remember the general architecture of the project, but I don’t really remember how the tiny important details are planned, how the code works.
After few iterations like this, it got me really thinking that I will become so rusty and unproductive going that way. I wasn’t learning anything, i was just starting over every time.
Not only in coding, but in almost every part of our lives, we use these tools expecting them to make us better on something. But it ends up we giving up what we had before. From those words you may think that i am a retarded man who fights with ai and against it. I am definitely not and i think they are great if used in correct way. I just wanna make sure that my knowledge and learning stay in my brain and grow over the years.
After many realizations, my action to break that chain is writing and creating a digital notebook. I usually never write something i learn because that thing becomes something i use often and i really don’t forget. I usually write for emptying my head or tracking my tasks. But my latest experiences show me that i don’t really learn or anything. Ask the chatbot, get the answer, poof it is gone.
Writing activates more parts in your brain than just reading and passing. Also it is kind of a debugger for your thoughts. In this case, real learning comes by analyzing what you read, taking notes and recalling it. It just won’t work if you type “hEy GipPiTi sSumMaRiZe fFor meee🤤”.
So TL;DR:
This place is going to serve as me braining about anything.
- document my learnings, researches
- share my thoughts on things
- show up my projects (kind of portfolio)
- creating content and real knowledge with help of ai, instead of ai does all the job.
As long as i really “learn”, i won’t be having any problems in my progress. It seems i write things for myself but I love to see if somebody see my blogs and learn something or be inspired.
